KFCs fries were not peoples favourite and to tackle this, they were introducing new fries that would hopefully change popular opinion. The brief was to inform people of the launch of these new fries in an engaging way.
Our approach was to show that the fries had now reached the level of KFC's chicken, finger lickin’ good. The challenge was to show this in the most simple effective way, My role was to work closely with the creatives developing many options both in visual look and with language used. We ended up with an idea that brought engagement and intrigue but also aligned with KFCs disruptive advertising style.
Once we had developed the key visual, the next challenge was to look at how we could bring it to life in social media. I took the lead on this, suggesting a variety of options for motion, taking inspiration from movie titles and camera movements. Motion also allowed us the oppotunity to do the big reveal, showing that our fries are now finally FINGER LICKIN' good.
